who is better batsman?


we have been hearing this debate for ages...

so if for once we put nationality aside
and think purely as cricket fanatics...

who is the better batsman?

sachin or lara

my take...

never a man of great words...

so allow me to compare with
shahrukh khan and aamir khan analogy...
to drive home the point...

sharukh undisputed king of bollywood...and box office...

aamir...better actor...
more meaningful films in his kitty...
which were equally successful...

    i prefer watching Aamir's films, but i can't stand his interviews.

    for me lara is like aamir here...

    while tendulkar has better technique lara has technique of his own...more natural...certainly not by cricket text books...

    looked more human than god...

    and yes never a great interview giver :)

    SRT... for his adaptability... He has played well against all opposition... I dont Lara playing well against India..

    For me Aamir is the better actor while SRK is the better entertainer - so in view of that I would say Sachin is Aamir and Lara is SRK for Lara has surely entertained more over the years.

    Lets not forget here that in Lara we saw the same batsman over 15 years, while in Sachin we have seen 2 different batsmen. I read a peice over at cricinfo which described him the best way possible.

    Its a hard call.. Sachin has done more than any other batsman can even dream of doing.. while Lara single handedly carried a nation's batting line up for as long as he played..

    I can't choose as I have never been able to between Aamir and SRK..

    They were once in a lifetime batsmen and i've ha the privelege of watching them since their 1st international innings.
