But now, real democracy is sinking in most places -- the rule is simple -- those who have the numbers will rule the world -- token heads go to trash can.Anil Singhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03730693158313605630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134440631193335724.post-36732778680559221922008-10-26T23:52:00.000+05:302008-10-26T23:52:00.000+05:30NC... Test, ODI, T20, Gully Cricket and the various other varients...

One example how cricket in India can't get incestuous is a program which I chanced across in Sun TV... An indoor cricket program, matches played by small screen actors and actress. Half an hour episodes with one or two viewers participating in each team. Teams named by prominent areas in Chennai (TN, I presume)

I am told it is raking up sufficient TRPs for it to sustain itself with a few big sponsors...

Meaning, people in TN and all around the world watch even this form of cricket during primetime (evening)...

Now tell me... Can cricket ever get incestuous in India??

I don't think so.RajaBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12468551373665867713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134440631193335724.post-14444461498672469232008-10-26T23:42:00.000+05:302008-10-26T23:42:00.000+05:30Soulberry... Not too long ago was a time when everyone wanted TCCB / ECB disciplined, so entrée the Asian block which saw Dalmiya and Ehsan Mani and two world cups coming our way.

The advent of Narsimha Rao & Manmohan Singh (in the Indian political landscape) brought liberalisation in which made one Doordarshan give way to one hundred Baahoot doordarshan's (Sat tv)!! Which resulted in the game of cricket seeing money (lots) and a realignment of forces with India becoming the nucleus.

As they say, what comes in goes back... So it's natural that there would be many jingbang's henceforth trying to break the stronghold of BCCI.

No ICC or FTP in this case, It's the law of karma.RajaBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12468551373665867713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134440631193335724.post-26226694674395209482008-10-26T22:50:00.000+05:302008-10-26T22:50:00.000+05:30how incestuous will cricket become? we'll be left ...how incestuous will cricket become? we'll be left with india blue vs india green vs india red. with cricket in the red too.Gaurav Sethi https://www.blogger.com/profile/04330224127597873431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134440631193335724.post-5697236604098840392008-10-26T20:32:00.000+05:302008-10-26T20:32:00.000+05:30The Sri Lanka-England jingbang...was it originally...The Sri Lanka-England jingbang...was it originally FTP?

Just a query...Soulberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15830619858224129215noreply@blogger.com
