When it’s pardonable to talk of an ICL team.

by Naked Cricket

Just hear yourself you IPL snob. Is that what you’ve become?

Heck knows, but there are times when even an ICL team can be a breath of smoke-free air.

The Hyderabad Heroes may not be a visit to the Oxygen Bar, but then what is? (O2 brute?)

Look what they got: Our own Roger Binny’s baby bunny –Stuart Binny. Frankly, he's all you need to remember from the ICL first edition. The finisher, basically too damn good for the ICL. He bowls, bats, fields, and top that, looks good while multi-tasking his ass off. A Bengali daily claims the reasons for the BCCI-ICL meet are to somehow bring Binny into the IPL mix. Ganguly however, is yet to comment.

The Hyderabad Heroes are one of BCC!’s favourite pastimes. We may even cover other players if their team wins. Look out for specials on Binny’s half brothers - Maher, Razzaq, Kemp, Harris etc, etc, etc

Btw should we cover Boje? Or expose him?

Unfortunate we forget the Alfred Absolem's, Alok Kapali's, Rajagopalan Satish's and many more...

Do we know that Absolem has the best T20 figures ever?? 7 wickets for 15, do you believe? Even before we saw Sohail Tanveer in Noah's IPL take 6?

What a shame... We don't even know...

Let's talk of talent and not of pardon...

Absolem's mines dig deep!

That's a good memory, Raja.
but it doesn't make it to the cricinfo stats. AA has 3 wkts in T20 acc to them.

Btw he didn't play in todays Heroes' game. What's the deal?

Absolem is very much part of the Hyderabad team. May be he is injured or was simply not picked? Because I remember seeing his name in the list just before the season started.

Here's Absolem's T20 stats for you...

O-24, R-176, W-14, A-12.57, E-7.33, SR-10.29

That presents a formidable record... One more poor Hyderabad killed by the father & son Duo of Shivlal & Arjun Yadav.

so it's 7 in one game, and 7 in the other 5, right? Mendislike.

Raja, pardon my french, but do you hail from Hy'bad?

BCCI can't take competion

ICL does not divide cricket an contraire it brings people to cricket and cricket to people. It's sad the ICC also doesn't intervene.
Just sad. What a pity.

I am fan of ICL not because it's rival of BCCI, but due to reason that they provide free entry to college students.

"Cricket Hai Meri Life" is a fantastic title for the ICL. For me and other cricket fans, cricket is life and no one can ask me to deny the ICL.

Nekkid ... u're right about the Binny lad but to say that BCCI covets it's neighbours Binny enough to warrant actually stooping to talk with them ... I think not. U're right about ICL being like a breath of smoke free air though ... & threin lies the problem ... nothing like the ingestion of tar & nicotine to get them going ... right!??!

NC... I am not a Hyderabadi, I hail from a little down south. Tamil Nadu to be precise.

I can kind of understand why that question... I am generally a number / statistic / trivia freak, especially when it comes to cricket.

That should explain, I presume

heheh...binny...he is really related right to the famous binny?

jack-of-alls are no longer required in any form of the game...you got to be GREAT in one part and useful in the other if not GREAT in the other as well...

jack-of-alls can go play domestive 20-20...and super sixes and super eights whatever...
