Whereabouts Score: BCCI 1 - WADA 0

by straight point

arguments we have heard in support of the wada whereabouts clause...

'how come others did not spot it...'

'how can so many people be so ignorant...'

'why have others not raised their voice before signing...'

'571 bodies who have signed the code can't be wrong...'

i would say that's exactly what the 571st said before signing...

most must have had reservations...but they signed thinking that nobody has raised the issue so far...

it took bcci to raise its voice against the practicality of the 'whereabouts' clause and it has given a platform for others to voice their inner doubts...and now we are seeing others pitching in...

if this report is to be believed...australian and south african cricket boards have already confirmed they will support bcci on the'whereabout' issue...even icc executive board will endorse the bcci objection with wada...

while players organizations of australia, england, south africa and new zealand are now coming more openly on the practicality of 'whereabout' clause...

bcci has been given credit for all the malice in the cricketing world, sometimes rightly so...

now that bcci have acted on something that others might just have thought of, but didn't have the courage to raise their voice against...i think we should all applaud bcci much the same way we bag them for their wrong doings...

nice point about what the 571st said. Let's see what the 572nd ends up with.
