How many DDCA officials does it take to change a light bulb?

by Gaurav Sethi

How many you got? We’ll need all of them. It’s a very big light bulb and we know the DDCA is a very big organisation with some very big people in it.

Of course the light bulb is just that, and not a light tower at the Kotla. To change that, we’ll need to outsource from Haryana.

Today, the DDCA came out in big numbers at the prize giving ceremony.

The line was so long, even the crane camera on pull-out mode couldn’t capture them all, possibly because close ups had to be captured too. The DDCA motto – take no prisoners.

Appears the cameraman was paid double for this swooping c/u pan. And even though there was talk of hiring a top cinematographer from Chennai, the budget didn’t work out.

But the budget cameraman did a commendable job. It was slow, art house pan, he scanned each detail of each member. Kurosawa meets Mani Kaul.

I recognised two from the million on display, Chetan Chauhan and Arun Jaitley. How many do you know in high places?

Absolute DISGRACE!! Ravi Shastri must have introduced 30 of them. But the look on Jaitley's face, that was a million bucks!!

NC, DDCA is basically a conglomeration of defaulters, fraudsters, pretty criminals and lumpens and they hold this obscene parade whenever Kotla hosts a match. All you need is an earthquake to gobble up the assortment but it never happens!
