His franchise pays so much money for him. He is expected to lead the side to the semis at least. A pity our captain does not think the same way about the country.
Disastrous performance. This is just repeat of 2007 worldcup where Sri Lanka time and again proved team India is paper tigers. I blame Mr Srikanth and Dhoni to rethink of their selections and playing strategies. Rightly said why Dhoni promoted himslef up should have sent Yusuf for power hitting. Why Yuvraj, Vijay are still in the team

Time and again, it has been observed that Dhoni bats up the order when the track is flat, score is good and runs seem on offer... And then he goes through the innings unbeaten... it doesn't matter if he throws the momentum out of the window... No wonder his average is so high...
Everyone seems to forget how irresponsible Rohit Sharma was in the match against Australia even when India were four down. It seems you people didn't pay heed to what SMG was saying then. Agreed that he is one of the most talented players in the side but is it not that he has been given enough chances to prove that. It is a fair deal. Despite knowing about the quality of cricket and kind of pitches in the IPL everyone clamors for Uthappa. Most of them are the same people who were going gaga about Vijay after his IPL heroics.

Hi Cric Chirrup, we don't call him Nohit Sharma for nothing. Why SMG was on his case in that innings we all could see, he was playing pointless cross batted shots, and he had barely taken guard.
Somehow he stuck it out, scored some runs, after Raina's 100, Nohit's was the longest an Indian batsman batted. It was on the back of those runs that he needed to bat up vs Lanka.
As for Vijay, even before his IPL 100, his test cameos were pointer enough to the class. Shame he didn't come off, but there's the Zim tour.
And as for Uthappa, you can only judge him and others on the IPL, for India hardly plays any other T20. If you're thinking first class cricket as selection criteria, not happening is it?
