good one. More so if context's also known :)

@slberry -- the context is the @theashes mania going on. I thought that was pretty well known considering she is on the BBC, Yahoo, getting free tickets from Qantas and a phone to tweet from Vodafone.

Now, imagine if that had happened in India. Key words used would be boring, road, T20 track, ipl, Lalit Modi, flat track bullies, poorly paid curators, poor crowds, death of test cricket. Repeat ad nauseam.

Considering the potential for huge number of Indian audiences in India, given that only one India match coincided with the first Ashes test and also the fact that the Ashes were being telecast live for the first time on Willow TV largely to Indian Audiences with nothing else to do over the thanks giving weekend, it has been learnt that the BCCI had arm twisted both the ECB and CA to produce a flat pitch so as to maximize ad revenues.

@mouseman and @golandaaz - My point as well. I was harping about that on twitter earlier on why they aren't raking the curator of 'Gabba through the coals. Its once-in-a-while-it-happens if such batathons take place in Eng/Aus and systemic problem if it were to have taken place in sub-continent. Mofos.

please guys, it was NOT 517/1.

It would have been two down. You are now doubting the integrity of THE MAN - he had caught Cook but it was not given by the friggin' umps.

And after that who knows, England might have folded and Oz gone to win. :):):)

@naresh - I read the match report and as well as Punter's post match presser. He seems to have been dumbfounded that Cook stood his ground. Punter seems to not trust technology anymore. He said and I quote "Once they went to have a look upstairs, I know what their decision was going to be." Does this mean, he knew he didn't take a clear catch??? Or, he thinks the third umpire is out to defraud him? I suppose i'll be better served if I do not try to figure out what's inside Punter's mind.

@Govindraj - Thank you very much mate. It didn't take more than 20 seconds to make this post and I am pleasantly surprised it has received the most compliments. Unlike the ones where I spent a whole lot of time. Tells you, humor works in ways I can't really comprehend. Cheers.
