Bored Member: Is the glass half empty or half full?
Bored Peon: Either way I have to fill it…does it matter?
That could have been MSD speak, when he stepped in to captain fresh daisies for the one-day series. 2-1 up, the glass is nearly 2/3rds full: time to exorcise Mendis’ demons, and with it one or two from the test squad?
In the next few days, Indian cricket can either turn the corner, or be cornered yet again.
bored peon prediction: If Ganguly goes, then Rohit Sharma will be fasttracked into the test team vs Oz. Btw what’s your test XI vs. them. Play now. Pay later.
PS: a bored member doesn't imply that

A Sharma for a Ganguly?
Ideally, it should be a Subramaniam for a Saurav.
The unofficial news was that badri will make his test debut later this year... so if it going to be the oz series, we do not know... it might be the england series.
I reckon Ganguly is better than sharma for the moment LOL
rathen than the result of this odi series i think oz 'a' tour to india will provide us some definite clue...
if badri captains and performs as we expect him to...it will be very hard to ignore him...
i am also banking on mishraji to show that he is ready...to be selected...
ott - Ideally yes. But Sharma's nonchalant cool, uninterested looks, and the next big boy from Bombay tag should swing it.
scorpi - funny bit, he is, tho more in the short term.
If Dada plays vs oz, then Sharma's in the squad. Follows after being a passenger thru the Lanka tests. If Dada's dropped, then Sharma takes his place in the playing XI, and Badri is the travelling salesman.
imo still tough for badri.
sp - be grt if indian cricket was like that; sad bit, ODIs, IPL, T20are given more credence, and there is no clearwater revival!
slowly the Yamuna is being cleaned, but boy, is it filthy.
reckon a performance will get badri into the squad but not in the final XI.
I agree with NC. Its still really difficult for Badri. He would probably need a century or two in Sri Lanka to cement his place.
Trideep - doubt if even that will clinch it. Unless he makes one of those dazzling big 100s like MSD did initially.
some guys make all the luck.
Thats what I said NC.. A century or two... one which wins a match single handedly.
Show me Misra playing a test and I'll punt again.
Jokes apart, Australian spin is different from Mendis....(and Murali of course.) So the Mumbai Mamba and like ilk have to go back into their respective snakepits again and bide time for another series.
Arjuna had a long talk with Saurav before and through the test series, by the way.
sb - they'll be at home once again. If MSD lets them be.
