It was Mahela Jayawardene’s sixth and last four. The cable crashed and so did MJ.
India relies a lot less on technology. Still not clear whether they appealed for a run-out to Billy. Or maybe it didn’t appeal to Billy.
45.2 Patel to Jayawardene, no run, what's happened here? Jayawardene played the ball towards point and Mendis ran for the single from the non-striker's end, he was sent back and the throw came back to Munaf who broke the stumps with Mendis just short of his crease, Doctrove didn't refer it to the third umpire for some reason, I'm not sure the Indians appealed initially, Yuvraj then came up to Dhoni a while later and asked him to ask the umpire to refer it, Dhoni goes up to Doctrove and has a word, he isn't going to refer it.
Cable takes Mahela.

Possibly Doctrove was bored.
that was bizzare...
other than bowling and bit while batting...MF seems to create his own world in motion...
he took ages to dislodge the bails and what could have been clear run out by at least a foot was made to look like mendis made it...
Ott - bored and bad, very bad. Worse than Hair methinks.
SP - in slomo it was no less than the romantic run thru the tulip fields of Silsila, ball was big b, bails were rekha aunty.
gaurav...you know something...you just saved your life by not saying AB uncle... :))
Doctrove has been terrible this series... many decisions should have gone sri lanka's way, to be frank... either way, dhoni should not have appealed after it was turned down by the umpire... nothing different from what sourav did sometime back.
frankly, after munaf's match fee cut, he's lost his voice.
But this was plain stupid.
they're thinking referral - msd and co must have really liked watching them on tv.
