jSP, I thought Kumble was spot on as captain yesterday. His batsmen let him down. What do you think he could have done differently yesterday?
Straight,
Is occasionally opening with a spinner rigiditity?
Is matching a apecific bowler to a specific batsman rigidity?
Is bringing on an irregular like Kohli (who I didn't even know could bowl) rigidity?
Is bringing on a big hitting opener in in the lower order to finish the innings if the earlier batsmen fail and have left too high an asking rate for the tail, rigidity?
Not his fault if the others fail to implement his plans as well as he did. (Remember the ball which dismissed Mr.Final for a 3rd ball duck? or the one that restricted the dangerous Symonds and Rohit?).
Is thinking on his feet and changing plans on the field when a specified bowler fails rigidity? (Remember how he changed palns to bring on Akhil on one occcasion and Kohli on another, etc.)
Kumble rigid? was he?

kumble in later part of brc campaign looked to bowl his quota of 4 overs in spanning whole innings of opponent...
he did the same in finals while when he got with wicket of gilchrist in first over itself he could have gone on for kill...be he removed himself immediately...as if they won the match and one could starkly notice the drop of intensity...
as if it was casted on stone that he would bowl his overs in specified way...
on the same lines he should have sent more experienced batsmen who could soak the pressure of finals and have the experience of doing so but what we saw that boucher coming just above praveen kumar...the batting order to remained unchanged...as if that too was casted on stone...
