If Bhajji is Bhajji, then what is Amit Mishra

by bored cricket crazy indians

Today, there was this cool report about Delhi players having nicknames – coach Dhaiya is Brain, Ishant Sharma is Tower, and if Ishant breaks a record he will be Tower Records. Curious, who is Virgin?

Anyway, little Amit Mishra and his big strides still don’t have a good name. So when people across India ask Amit what his good name is, he replies, Amit Mishra. Not good enough, is it?

See, Amit or Mishra or Amit Mishra aren’t going to make his career.

Harbhajan Singh has Bhajji, everybody knows him as Bhajji, even people who don’t know him – and they are a majority.

We’ve been toying with the idea of calling Amit Mishra, chotu. There you have it, chotu. Written in lowercase, so if the nutcase has something, Mishra has chotu.

chotu, loved by all, called on by all. The little worker, the little boy, the little son, all rolled into one. chotu, call him, he’ll always be there for you.

It has a nice ring to it, I can just imagine people calling out "Hey 4 dash 0 dash 59 dash 0, you wanna bowl now?"
