Sreesanth meets Amitji

A few days back I saw these shots of a star-struck Sreesanth meeting Amitji (Bachchanji) on a regional news channel in Mumbai. The whole story was quite fascinating. Last week the Indian cricket team and Mr. Bachchan seemed to have touched down at the Mumbai airport at about the same time.

So as the Shahenshah of the Indian silver screen was driving out of the airport with his wife and daughter in tow, Sreesanth spotted him and walked up to his car to greet him. Mr. Bachchan, humble as always, pulled over and stepped out of his car to congratulate Sreesanth on his match-winning effort at Kanpur.

The two engaged in a friendly discussion for about five minutes, exchanging compliments and sharing a few light moments. Sreesanth seemed to be on cloud nine when he headed back to his car, thrilled by his encounter with the Mega-Star.

Now comes the best part. Sreesanth shared his experience with Yuvraj while they were loading the boot of their car with their kits. Yuvraj's reaction... "Big deal! So what am I supposed to do?" This did not make any difference to Sreesanth as he kept looking in the direction of Amitji's car as if he were a star-struck kid.

I have a feeling we'll be able to spot the Big B at the Brabourne this week.
