For starters, they shifted the games to a neutral venue, if you can call Bangladesh that. Then they manufactured dew, to distract from the game itself. The two teams may play each other every alternate day, but how often do they wet their pants like this.
Not just that, play Sreesanth in a one-dayer – tell him it’s ok to appeal with one of those Romantic Love Song videos. Top that arrange a wicket for Bhajji in the first over – “he’s a different kind of bowler when he strikes early” Shastri will tell you. Make sure Shastri is not on commentary when he’s a different kind of bowler.
Of course some things remain the same: Thiranga out. Bhajji takes a minute to wave the Tiranga. But then a surprise, Sehwag brought on to bowl by MSD. So Not India.

Confusion.
The Board President’s XI does not represent the Bored President’s XI – there is no team by the name of Bored President’s XI, and the Bored President’s XI will not play Sri Lanka in Mumbai today.
For that matter, the Board President’s XI will not play Sri Lanka in Mumbai today. Rain will play spoilsport.
If and when a cricket team represents Bored Cricket Crazy Indians (BCC!) it will be called Bored XI or the Bored Cricket Crazy Indians XI or Bored Peon's XI or Bored President's XI, but not Board President’s XI.

Rohit Sharma will captain the Board President's XI against the visiting Sri Lankans in a three-day tour opener to be played in Mumbai from November 11 to 13. The 14-man squad, announced by the selectors in Nagpur today, also includes Robin Uthappa who was named vice-captain after an impressive showing in the Champions League Twenty20.
Karnataka play Delhi.. Delhi loses Sangwan, Karnataka Uthappa. Mumbai loses 4 players, Bengal 3. And Bengal are playing Baroda.
What should have been a post congratulating the selectors on a job well done( the BP XI composition is very interesting, to say the least) ends with me questioning the genius who decided to schedule the BP XI game to run parallel to the Ranji Trophy.!
Amazing Stat: SL never won a Test in India
When Q mentioned the fact that Pakistan had never lost a Test series in Sri Lanka... another amazing stat came to my mind... Sri Lanka have never won a Test match in India. The Sri Lankans played their first Test in India in 1982 and 27 years later are yet to register their first win in the "original" land of spin.
According to the Stats, the two nations have played 14 Tests on Indian soil... India has won eight of them and the remaining six have ended in draws. In fact, the last time Sri Lanka was touring India for a Test series, I was editing the 2-hour (daily) highlights for the host broadcaster.
Murali has played in 10 of these 14 Tests and yet no win for SL. I wonder why?
India, on the other hand has won at all the three major Test centres of Sri Lanka... Colombo, Kandy and Galle and has even won a series on Sri Lankan soil in 1993.
SL's next tour of India in November 2009 promises to be quite an exciting one as it will see Murali and Mendis bowling in tandem in a Test Series in India for the first time.
