That is what Mr. Mashrafe Mortaza of Bangladesh has said about ICL and the formation of the new Dhaka Warriors team (cricinfo). We need to remember that Mr. Mashrafe is the Vice Captain of the Bangladesh team, one of the most senior & responsible members of the team.
The moment I saw this piece of news I wanted to ask Vice Captain Mashrafe Mortaza a couple of questions.
1. It is commonsense that when they asked you to join Dhaka Warriors there must have been at least 10 other Bangla players who had or who were willing to sign-up. As Vice Captain why didn’t you take this to the notice of your board or the team management and try and stem the exodus??
2. Why do you disclose that you had an offer now? Are you expecting Mr. Modi to hear or read your interview and say “Good Boy, here’s your IPL contract”?
3. I heard you have a dodgy knee, till when do you think your board would support you and keep playing you in your national team?
4. Do you know T20 is for the supremely fit players (prima donna’s excluded!!)? What do you think are your chances are of making into a starting 11 of an IPL team?
Let’s hope Mr. Modi has seen this interview of Mr. Mashrafe and let us hope he has already fixed a base price for Mashrafe and asked his typist to send the letter out to the teams!!
Good luck Mr. Mashrafe… In case you come across this blog do try reply.
They called me too… But said no

and here i was thinking we'll never get even with Mortaza.
need lab tests to determine whether he Dented (in Rameez's words) our confidence quite badly -possibly even worse than Mitchell Johnson.
How is one "approached"?
He is definitely pitching for IPL.
I have not read whole player's list who have DW.
By the way, as far I have seen him, I feel he has been one of greatest bowler for bangladesh.
This is my approach stats could say something different.
Lalit Modi need to reconsider format and should have such platform in which even bangla players can play IPL. (could be like county cricket)
P.S. What a spirit. Second continuos post. What makes me great is that I am unable to write a single post.
Mortaza's record for you guys...
ODI - Averages 1.22 wickets per match at 4.69 runs an over
Test - Averages 1.65 wickets per innings at 3.29 runs an over
T20 - Averages 0.67 wickets per match at 9.22 runs an over
Though it doesn't seem impressive standing alone. It is very impressive, Guys !! He plays for Bangladesh. Neno, greatest bowler would be an overstatement. May be we should rephrase it to "one of the good bowlers"....
Dhaka Warriors: Habibul Bashar (capt), Aftab Ahmed, Shahriar Nafees, Alok Kapali, Dhiman Ghosh (wk), Farhad Reza, Manjural Islam, Golam Mabud (wk), Mahbubul Karim, Mohammad Rafique, Mohammad Sharif, Mosharraf Hossain, Tapash Baisya
That is the DW team...
Soulberry... This very word "approached" makes it seem a little dramatic... like one of those Indian movies where a guy with a suitcase full of money approaches another and entices him by opening the suitcase and showing bundles of 500's !! I'm presume this approach was just a phone call and not a suitcase
Actually it should be "One of the better bowlers" !!
could we not say it.
"More then a bowler for Bangladesh"
guilty conscious on display here...
though you have caught him with his pants down... :)
he has god potential to be reasonable allrounder in ODIs...may be he should concentrate just on that...
And they called Asharempty too :)
