Dinesh Karthik deserves it, though our friend Sam might disagree on that, too.
But seriously, Vijay and Badri for ODI teams just dont cut it.
Haahha.. I remember someone posted this video up before with the title, "why nehra will never play for India again".
Some lucky breaks for unlucky guys like Badrinath, Nehra, Jadeja, but they should have rested Gambhir, Ishant and anyone else from Delhi. Without Jatman, these guys can't play.
Let's see how long nehra remains injury free.
That video is so misinterpreted. Its on youtube with the caption lack of unity in india team. Someone on cricinfo commented that its Nehra as a senior abusing Dhoni who was a junior at the time. Apparently these guys have not been part of an all male group environment ever where this kind of gaali-galauj is part and parcel of normal conversation. How else is a bowler going to express his frustration. And what would you prefer - express frustration on the field instantly and walk back to bowl the next delivery, or keep it inside, hold a grudge and let resentment build over time. This is normal give and take in any well knit group.
So sick of bowlers who think they're the shit...
@Yenjie, how else might a bowler deal with his frustration... Maybe he could be a big man, build a bridge and get over it.
Lulu, have you ever felt your arm go momentarily numb and then ache like you are about to have a heart attack? Thats what the first over feels like. After that there's just a tingle and numbness. Ball after ball. And afterwards, your back hurts, your shoulder aches, and your ankle hurts the worst every step you take. Thats just me. Nehra and guys like him are on a whole different level. They have been putting in that kind of effort for years, for more hours in a day, every day. When thats what you do, put so much into each delivery, bowled to some of the best batsmen in the world, guys who don't GIVE you any chance, you have to earn each and every chance you get. You finally get a snick. And its dropped. Now, you KNOW its an honest mistake. A momentary lapse from the keeper, who is also obviously the best at his job, which is why he's there in the India uniform. But in the moment, I think a simple "bhenchod" expresses it rather well, although building a bridge would also be a good longterm idea. The Gandhian fast bowler - now thats an original idea.
raj why we always look for reginalism in selection is beyond me...
i think apart from selecting ishant who is clear struggling selectors has done good job...

there are more democratic ways of expressing frustrations...
for example hitting offender with bat...(which has been attempted before) but abusing...no way... ;-))
SP, I am not syaing it that way. Just that there is a bigger justification for crying regional bias for guys like Sam, who start crying regional bias if by chance, even 1 deserving TN candidate gets into the team. Now we have 3, of which 2 are borderline though on the balance, you could say its ok. But fact is Sam has mroe reason to whine now...
