His name is so good you can use it in so many ways!
What a Jakati of a delivery that was.
Shadab gave the batsman a full jakati this time.
He's got him with a Jakati.
I love it!
I missed today's IPL matches because of the Gala Dinner in Dubai, so I thought I'd write a but about my latest favorite IPL cricketer.
Shadab Jakati!
Last year it was Pragyan Ojha, this year its Jakati who has shown that India's spinning riches are richer than ever.
Some bowler this Jakati is.
He's played 2 matches for the Chennai Super Kings and has returned figures of 4-24 and 4-22.
Thats less than 6 runs an over and a wicket per over!
His wickets - David Warner, Tilekaratne Dilshan, Dinesh Karthik, Pradeep Sangwan, Rohit Sharma, Dwayne Smith, Venugopal Rao, Ryan Harris.
Not bad is it.
But the best thing is that in both these matches, he has out bowled the best spinner in the world - Muttiah Muralitharan.
Now who can boast of doing that besides the freaky Mendis.

Jakati Jakati Jakati !!!
Run out, not run out, run out, not run out, run out...
8.3
Jakati to Smith, 1 run, a mental match becomes crazier still, there were at least four chances to run out Smith there, Smith hit it to deep point, the bowler doesn't collect the return, Badrinath backing up, throws it back to the bowler who doesn't collect the throw again but breaks the stumps, Smith and Suman were almost at the same end at this time, Jakati picks the ball and tries to hand it to Badrinath who is at the stumps now but flicks it wide of him, before Smith finally gets home
A Big thanks to Prafs for the many good links to the many bad missfields' video
Jakati Tales.
Jakati - Like it you're from lazy Goa, like the lazy shots you played off Nannes and that ball you knocked lazy Dilshan with. Shadab Bashir Jakati, like the name too. 4-0-24-4.6.5 Jakati to Dilshan, OUT, cracker of delivery accounts for Dilshan, a bit of flight pitching on leg and turns past Dilshan's forward defence to hit middle and off, that's a delivery Jakati will remember for a long time
TM Dilshan b Jakati 13 (13b 0x4 1x6) SR: 100.00
