Sehwag's dismissal

Even though Sehwag was clean bowled, and apparently not of a no-ball, he still missed out on a hundred. That the controversial umpire that supposedly denied Sehwag of a hundred (in cahoots with Dilshan, Randiv and the laws of the game) was standing in, even though at square-leg, is being looked into by the BCCI. Sehwag made no mention of Kumar Dharamsena’s umpiring or for that matter, Suraj Randiv, but it is expected that he will bring it up at a later date.

Dharmasena apologises to Sehwag.

Sehwag was left stranded by umpire Dharmasena on 12, 88 short of what would have been a richly deserved 13th hundred. Sehwag has confirmed, Dharmasena came to his room to apologize. Sri Lanka Cricket has moved swiftly, Dharmasena will miss the next match. Dilshan who prompted Dharmasena to raise the finger will lose 50% of his match fees. Although the tracker service showed the ball would have kissed the outside of the leg stump, it was an untimely decision as Sehwag had still not faced Randiv. Very much against the spirit of the game.

3.4	Thushara to Tendulkar, OUT, not the best decision unfortunately but Tendulkar has to go, the ball pitches marginally outside the leg stump and straightens and hits him fairly high on the pad as he tries to work it to the on side, Kumar Dharmasena thinks about it for a while before raising the finger, this is Dharmasena's first decision in ODIs
