"Why don’t you go f*** yourself Sreesanth"

by Gaurav Sethi

The BCCI issued a final warning to Sreesanth. If he goofs up once more, he can kiss domestic cricket goodbye.

Basically the BCCI is working overtime to domesticate Sreesanth – to make him into a toothless, spineless, speechless apology for a bowler. After being hit for four he should perform elaborate Jap bowing rituals from Mind your Language. Asso! Asso!

And to think it was one of those innocuous exchanges in the Irani Trophy – when Kulkarni played Sree off his legs for a single. Not a six, not a four, not three runs nor two, a damn single – see how passionate he is. To tell you the truth, it was an ordinary ball. I’m guessing it was an ordinary exchange too.

Umpire intervened, and then that demonstrative match referee, and his highly mobile head – how he swayed, as if, four generations of his had been done in by Sreesanth’s sledging.

This was a great message from the BCCI, to show the true worth of the Irani Trophy. It is not to make careers but mar them. Not that there was much to Sree’s career.

He just had a good county season, made it to the Irani, and then Challenger, and showed signs of his old form. But why would we need Sree when RP and Ishant are winning us Cup after Cup?

More importantly, Sreesanth is NOT going to play international cricket again. Why give him a chance in the domestics then? Logic is best served cold.

when irani trophy finally has some aggressive intense feel to it, BCCI wants to mar that!

Moreover, you should see the intensity on RP when he bowls for DC, why does it go missing when he is bowling for India!

we need intense bowlers, quality wise, most of them are one and the same!

One more bowler slips into wilderness, thanks to BCCI callousness. At least Cricket Australia arranged rehabs for Symonds.

SP, the only way to go from here, to hell with country, play for self.

Ankit, yeah, RP the other day, he was a different animal when he took a wicket for DC. Another thing that he hasn't taken one for India in a while. How will we know
