Amit Mishra downsized.

by Gaurav Sethi

Soon after the artist formerly known as Mishra came to be known as chotu, he was ripped into, four overs for fifty nine, he was like a house with a bamboo door, blown apart.

It didn’t feel right to call him chotu anymore. Especially as his Daredevils' mate, Rajat Bhatia was already Chotu (how could we forget? – because everybody forgets Rajat urf Chotu).

Good time to unleash the tinier, creepier Mishra – here you go, chotu point five. (c.5) He will blurt out 'Make my day' in guttural Hindi, send off openers, and in between take wickets too.

Bhajji has found his match. A bowler whose bark is worse than his bite. Go c.5, BOW us over!

A little sad, really. I was hoping for the next best spinner to come from Amit Mishra. What is happening to the India spin legacy lately?

Won't make too much of that - it was 4 overs in a t20, anybody can go. And Taylor was drooped off Mishra early in the piece.

Good game for him today. Who knows how the last one would've turned out had Nehra not messed it up. To be fair to Mishra, Taylor played some magnificent shots against the spin.

Hey I put upa comment on the chotu post but it seems to have not made it. I suggested Mishy instead. Sounds snappy, cool and reminds of a certain other leg spinner, what?

I wouldn't care how he fetched in T20's, For I would like to see how he bears in Tests. Now that Anil is off and Bhajji's only good for drinking Lassi, Our Chotu should be on for the next game. Give him a go KrishCricket ...

Mahek, I expected DD to kick BRC's behind. That was a low blow, lucky I missed most of it inc the catch.

...the dropped catch

Raj, Mishy is all yours, as MSD was once upon a time. Devour him.

Sujan, Right now I'm thinking, will they play Mishra in the Oz ODI series

I doubt Mishra will play against Australia. Maybe if it's a rough pitch or in a dead rubber. He's sure to play the three tests against Lanka though.

Gaurav Sethi said...

That calls for a campaign - Do not OZtracise Mishra

Amit will mishrify them if he plays.
