sree you are not only a stupid fool...but uninformed about history as well...
you just don't celebrate like that after dismissing the indian captain...
ask certain murli karthik...
you fool sree...
whata timing!!
we all know that BCC! was offline in reaction to delhi's defeat...
so it natural...that to celebrate mumbai indians getting knocked out of the current ipl season...we are online again...
good bye mumbai indians...
as sachin says in on-air !dea campaign...
kuch bhi ho phone jaroor karna...
(whatever happens...stay in touch...)
kkr's way of making up for losses...?
the wedding season is nearly over and srk has been increasingly worried about how to make up for his losses... "Did the Kolkata Knight Riders deliberately lose their IPL match against the Bangalore Royal Challengers?
but if this report is true...then it seems they are already on the job...to not only recover...but also end up with more profits than the other teams...
The Knight Riders scored 173. Till the 15th over of the Bangalore innings, Kolkata looked set to win. Then, it all fell apart."
in defense of KKR...
players i.e.
any team that has a ‘sport's lover’ owner as srk and ‘new theory at the drop of a hat’ coach buchanan should be applauded for putting in such efforts…winning one match…and running close in many…
i don’t have any problem with their desire to get rid of ganguly if they felt that his fitness was not upto the mark, that they wanted to try out new options as the sign of natural progression…as a certain vvs laxman is discovering now…
but doing this at the price of killing their own team..?
first even before the tournament dates were announced they created chaos with multiple captain theory…then mr srk came out in the open to lash out at gavaskar only to retract later…this was done in such a manner that even the most ardent fans of kkr started wishing for the team's demise…such was the impact of negativity they spread…
if a fan from afar could feel such strong negative vibes, save a thought for the players who were involved with these ‘intellectuals’ day in day out…?
after landing in south africa they didn’t waste a day, announcing that mccullum will be the skipper of kkr and dumped the multi captaincy theory but not before the damage had already been done…
what were mccullum's credentials for which he was preferred over the captain of an international test, odi n t20 team…gayle…? other than that he scored 150 odd in the first match last season of ipl…it's as if they have rewarded him for that knock…
now mccullum is no warne and gayle is no smith…that he will take him as an undisputed leader…it's here kkr missed another chance to restore lost balance within the team…
even after handing mccullum the toughest ipl job, they have not given him any say in selection…leaving him to work with from whatever was thrown at him…
a classical case is non-selection of murtaza…as i commented elsewhere...(i think at RS' anything sporty blog…) that first buchanan did not select him coz he did not care…now murtaza is not being selected for, if he performs it will be more egg on his already mucked up face…
the contrasts of team management and coaching are blatantly visible in the sense that can you recall the names of CSK, DDD or even DC owners… and their coaches…?
aren’t they doing their job…?
i specially applaud DC’s franchise who in spite of an awful last season…had enough dignity…doing what they were supposed to do…without any fuss…without any noise…and now the results are to be seen to be believed...
that’s why i started by applauding the kkr players, that despite so much happening inside (and outside) not a single day has passed when we don't hear something or the other about kkr…the players are still finding courage to fight it out in the middle…dusting themselves and getting ready for a battle...that was lost even before this tournament started...
coz i am sure that the same set of players in the hands of better management… with a relaxed dressing room…have it in them to lock horns with best in business…
ass ipl moment - DDD vs MI
though full mumbai innings was filled with ass moments...
but ultimately duminy and bhajji lost it for MIs...by convincing sachin to bowl that fateful over...the match was nicely poised at that point with the asking rate close to 9 rpo...scoring seemed difficult coz the ball wasn't coming on to the bat...with bravo's 3 overs in the bank after his excellent first over...
but more than sachin's bowling i was surprised by how a seasoned player and captain like him let them decide for him at such a crucial juncture...or may be they were the bowling captains...?
PS:
jatman too paid price last ipl season for bowling himself when far more skilled options were available to him...but he, as we rightly named him, is jatman...
PPS: btw thank you sachin! :)
Bored Game: Damn you Delhi vs. Mud on your face Mumbai

35th match: Delhi Daredevils v Mumbai Indians at East London - May 8, 2009 8.00 pm IST
Take it personally. Your family will be involved, abused. Screw the semis, this is it. This and the 2nd one on the 21st. No home game, no away game, just a $#!@&* rented field out of Africa. Watch an ancient grudge break to new mutiny. There will be blood. And it will be yours.
Take it easy will you, none of this should be tried at home or school.
What you can do though, is hop on to the Bored Game. Make some boring predictions like 1) Who will top score? 2) Who will top the wickets? 3) Who will top the result?
Of course if that’s too boring, there’s the alternative Bored Game. More exciting bored predictions like 1) Who will bottom score in the top 3 batsmen (from each team)? 2) Who will bottom bowl in the bowlers? 3) Who will bottom the result?
You can overdo it and take part in both games. The winner of either/both Bored Games will be felicitated at Bored Cricket Crazy Indians, in unimaginable ways.
For one, your name, along with the title ‘Bored Game Winner’, will go up here at BCC!
Second, a post by one, or all the Bored Members for you, baby.
Third, hell, don’t you like surprises?
New to BCC! - You can answer by clicking at Yawns (comments section) at the bottom of this post.
Criteria for Winners: Answers before the start of the 2nd innings will be preferred to those at the end of it. No limit on the number of entries.

Amit Singh reported for suspect action
Amit Singh, the RR pacer partially responsible for the thrashing of Bangalore the other day, has been reported for a suspect bowling action by the two umpires to the match referee S Venkatraghwan, bringing the tally of bowlers reported this year to two. Co-incidentally, the other bowler reported is also a Rajasthan player. I am talking about Kamran Khan of course.
Singh, who plays for Gujarat in the Indian Domestic Season, took 3 crucial wickets in the said game yesterday and was hailed by one and all as a talent to watch out for, mainly for his ability to hit the deck and bowl fairly accurately.
It is still unclear what action would be taken against him. You be the judge. Meanwhile, I would dig up the IPL Technical Committee and find out what it is and who they are.

john buchanans's throat about to get slit...?
if this news is to be believed...buchanan's days with kkr are numbered...
the research is still on - what is with these aussie coaches...they always mess with the very people that hire them...?
we tried to find answers but failed...
blasphemy at its peak
Right from the day the tactical timeout has been introduced, it has been riddled with controversy. Rightly so, as pure money making opportunisms have led to teams getting an extra 7 and a half minutes to think about the game after 10 overs.
Whenever commerce has tried to meddle with the arts, it is the art which bears the brunt. The tactical timeout has changed the dynamic of the twenty20 game, with teams either bowling or batting themselves out of the game during overs 11 to 14. This is a cause of concern, as the continuity of cricket as well as a batsman’s right to benefit from his concentration are adversely compromised. Even a player of the calibre of Sachin Tendulkar has spoken up against this playing condition.
It seems that the only people who love it are the cricinfo text commentators. Good for you, guys. The timeout has been bagged by every cricketing expert, be it an expert worth his pinch of salt or an expert worth his weight in gold.
Lalit Modi is a very shrewd person, blah blah. Sir, you have gone wrong here. The people have accepted this as an aberration in a perfect television package, not a welcome break to attend to nature’s call or a little quickie.
Little Quickie…the double use of similar words reminds me of the way Mr. Modi has shrewdly manipulated the rule and today, he comes up with a proposed modification. He believes that if people do not like the 450 second timeout, why not give them two timeouts of 150 seconds each, totalling 300 seconds, and in turn squeezing in 75 extra advertisement seconds in each of the mini-timeouts. Smart? Stupid! Whatever. People will still take it as what it is, just this time the monster would grow an extra head.

who will captain daredevils...
with jatman out due to injury...the question is who will captain delhi daredevils...
vettori...?
though he started well...but that onslaught from yusuf seems to have scarred him...seems to have lost his touch since...and now struggling to complete his quota of overs...
de villiers...?
i have not seen him captain so can't comment on that but what i know is that he is going great guns and i don't wanna put an extra burden on him...which might hamper his fluency with the bat...delhi needs him more as a bat than a captain...
dilshan...?
after what he did with his sole captaincy stint in a T20 match in srilanka...no way...?
dinesh karthick...?
i think he is best suited for this temporary stint...seems to have found some form with bat...and extra responsibility and lure of competing against dhoni might make him more alert and focused on the job at hand...which delhi needs badly in the middle...as also in the middle overs...the way delhi opening has been so far...
besides...it will be a sight to see dhoni coming to toss with his counterpart...i really don't wanna miss this chance to see them compete against each other...
do you...?
Manhas the badass
When Mithun Manhas and his long hooked nose walked out to bat, I overheard Delhi ask, who’s that boy? After ten years, it’s time other cities asked too - Nearly 30, Manhas made his debut way back in 1997/98, has played over 100 first class matches, scored 16 hundreds, and God have mercy on him, is a wicketkeeper. Not what you want to be in India. Look what happened to Karthik, Patel and Uthappa. Look what’s happening to Dhoni.
If SRK was around, you can bet he’d call Manhas a Badass.

Who is this new guy with the Royals ?
Boredmembers,
Need some help !!
I found this team list on cricinfo, while I was reading the preview of todays match between Chennai and Rajasthan.
I couldn't quite identify this player. Would someone of us help me identifying who this man is?? The third one as #9 on the Royals list...
Rajasthan: (probable) 1 Graeme Smith, 2 Swapnil Asnodkar, 3 Rob Quiney/Tyron Henderson/Lee Carseldine, 4 Yusuf Pathan, 5 Dimitri Mascarenhas, 6 Ravindra Jedeja, 7 Shane Warne (capt), 8 Mahesh Rawat (wk), 9 Abhishek Raut/Paul Valthaty/anybody, 10 Kamran Khan, 11 Munaf Patel.
Chennai's biggest problem has been the local players. If they have to play Ntini, they will have to forego either of Jacob Oram and Albie Morkel. And they could also want to play M Vijay ahead of Badri.
Chennai: (probable) 1 Parthiv Patel, 2 Matthew Hayden, 3 Suresh Raina, 4 MS Dhoni (capt. & wk), 5 Albie Morkel, 6 Jacob Oram, 7 S Badrinath/M Vijay, 8 Joginder Sharma, 9 L Balaji, 10 Manpreet Gony, 11 Muttiah Muralitharan.

can bhajji be considered a spinner...?
in T20 format i.e.
last night i saw powar bowling his classical off spinners with flight...loop and all...when batsmen were looking for runs...in a T20 format...
in fact he bowled the slowest ball of the IPL @68.2 mph...the ball took almost an eternity to land on the pitch...and it spun! and i am still wondering...had he fielded anything like yesterday earlier...he would have been still playing at the international level...
anyway...this brings me to my original question...
can bhajji be considered a spinner...in T20 format...?
his avg bowling speed in T20 format is about 90-95...
he does nothing but shoot the ball at the batsman's pads...
he does not bowl doosra...arm ball...or any other variation...
he never dares to flight the ball...
to sum up all traits of spinner missing from his armory when he bowls...in a T20 match...
so why call him spinner in T20 format...?
i think a new category should be created for bowlers like him...
right arm fastish dart bowler...?
small pleasures of life...
dravid scoring in a match...mallya's royally challenged losing...
dada scoring...KKR (Kaptaan Kaun Rahega) losing...and losing badly...
sachin showing his class in a match mumbai indians lose...
dhoni...neither scoring...nor winning...
and finally...
jatman not scoring...still 3Ds winning...
small pleasures in life!!
(of hardore 3Ds fan...my adopted team is rajasthan royals...)
3Ds…boasting with riches of talent…
...or acting plain stupid arrogant…?
they would throw away runs (the way they started the match today)…won’t go wholeheartedly for catches…
as if dismissing the effort thinking…we will see to it later when we bat…
…and if you thought last innings of jatman was ugly…he is on a mission to come up with another…to make you ponder again…
hence the question…
are they boasting of riches of talent…or acting plain arrogant…?
So who are you supporting today sir ?
Take a look at the picture, it reads "An Indian fan waits in vain for the game between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders to start. Rain forced an abandoment in Cape Town"
Now answer the question... Who do you think he came to support ?

kxip following kkr...?
last season...when kkr was leaving it to too late to push the paddle...almost religiously...
this is what i wrote for kkr last season...
kxip won yesterday from a very delicate situation requiring 60 runs from the last 5 overs...at 12 rpo...remarkable as they had lost only 2 wickets...which clearly shows either they were very confident or they left it too late...
i said delicate...coz had a wicket or two fallen at that stage...which can happen in pursuit of scoring at least 2 runs of every ball...the task would have become harder which could have proved fatal...and had that happened...they would have rued the fact that they had not pushed the paddle a bit earlier...having lost only two wickets till the start of 15th over...coz against better bowling attacks this strategy is fraught with danger...
anyway...now that they have won...they must re-think this strategy... preferably during... 'strategy breaks'...? ;-)
ps:
has zintaa's abandonment of 'jaadoo ki jhappi' this season anything to do with kxip's dismal performances so far...?
Is it the Sound Systems Guy?
Much has been said about the identity of the Fake IPL player. The Sound Systems Guy is it?? . It could him or somebody else also, one can never be sure.
A while ago I paid my customary morning visit to Fake IPL Player, yes this was after reading the lots said about his identity in the blog world, the fact that he has given up etc. People are writing non stop about this man’s identity.
I couldn’t see the post on Fake IPL Player where he says he is caught and apologizing as some bloggers had mentioned. His last post as I see is still the one where he apologizes for making his brother proxy, Experiment flopped. So you could only derive 2 things out of this silence.
The man has in deed been caught and been bundled out in the next flight
He is lying low, waiting for this hours of Sherlock Holmes, err the blogger band to subside and then probably do one helluva comeback post
Now coming back to the contemplation issue, let me also join the bandwagon. At least till someone is finally sent back and branded the poison pen we could keep pitching in with our two bit.
Let me argue why the Sound Systems Guy can’t be the blogger.
He is over 30 now, so he either continues playing where ever he plays for the next 4-5 years and earns how much ever he could or asks his agent to draw a rebel league contract. But would they take him given this credentials he would carry along
Only last year he was bundled off his team for speaking like an angry young man, so this is really his year of redemption. It is not only about redeeming his playing career but also his bank balance.
Right now he is a rank outsider when it came to writing about this team. Therefore he needs some insider support if he wanted to do so. If that person who leaked info is indeed the Lordie as the bloggers contemplate, then imagine the repercussions.
In the criminal law parlance incitement is a far more dangerous crime than doing the act itself. So what are we going to do with the Lordie. I am sure Lordie knows all these repercussions, so would he be the guy who leaked information?
Given all this I doubt either the Sound Systems Guy or the Lordie are the men in question. For, one man has a dying career to prolong (more than revive) and the other has a legacy to live for.
Now on the identity bit, I have doubts if the writer of this blog is a cricketer playing the IPL. In my opinion the blog is being ghost written by a professional with inputs from insiders. It might be as many people have been contemplating be a marketing ploy. Look at the extra attention this blog has brought on to an IPL which was hastily arranged in a foreign land. Every time you see that commentator on screen you see Kishen Kannaiya (and not HIM), and you think “mmm… who / how much did you score last night?”. You see a Sandy Baddy Babe on screen you think “well, who’s gonna win that bet?”
So this blog has in fact created an emotional bond (of a different kind of course) for us with IPL-2. Many people have even started referring to the players with their Fake IDs or the names attributed to them by the Fake Player, Aapam Chutiya, Kaan Moolu, Little John, Dildo etc.
Wait for a couple of hours to see the next post from this man and then we shall continue on with this contemplation on his identity.
ass ipl moment - JATMAN!!
...and all this while you were wondering why we did not sketch his head...?
